A superb and rare example of an Admiral Fitzroy oak-cased combined barometer, thermometer, and atmospheric pressure gauge, beautifully crafted in the late 19th to early 20th century. This exceptional scientific instrument represents the pinnacle of Victorian-era precision engineering and aesthetic design.

This barometer is a fully original piece, complete with Admiral Fitzroy’s classic annotations such as “Rise for Northerly Winds” and “Fall for Southerly Winds,” along with detailed guidelines on interpreting barometric changes. The liquid has been removed for transportation.
Light age-related wear consistent with its age. The glass is intact, scales remain legible, and the case retains a deep, warm patina. The instrument appears complete and in beautiful vintage condition, though, as with all antique scientific instruments, it may require calibration for precise use.
This barometer is an outstanding display and collector’s item, a testament to Victorian craftsmanship and meteorological history. It is ideal for display in a study, library, or nautical collection.
