This elegant Parian ware sculpture depicts a finely modelled classical female figure in flowing drapery, rendered with exceptional refinement and balance. The soft, marble-like surface and delicate modelling exemplify the high-quality craftsmanship associated with Victorian Parian production, prized for its ability to emulate carved marble at a fraction of the cost.

The figure stands gracefully upon a cylindrical base and displays beautifully observed anatomical proportion, serene facial expression, and finely detailed folds of drapery. Subtle surface tonality enhances the sculpture’s sculptural depth and visual warmth.

Although the maker’s mark is faint and only visible under ultraviolet light, the model closely relates to documented examples attributed to leading English Parian manufacturers, including W.H. Goss. The sculpture originates from a respected private collection in Pembrokeshire.
