Antique Teakwood Box with brass and part iron hinges 19th C.

Rare exceptional wooden box from South India. The top is carved out of one piece of wood as is the base, without a joint, only the partition at the bottom is added on. The small partion added on is original and in excellent condition for its age with a lovely patina on the exterior.
