Beautiful 19th-century French brass Mantle Clock 1870.

This is a fabulous antique 1870 French figural brass clock with a stunning finish. It is ornately decorated with a sculpture of a boy holding a book and pen over the clock the attention to detail and the quality is incredible. There are swags of floral motifs flowing down to the base and around the dial. The movement winds and ticks.
The gilt metal clock has a 7.5 cm enamel dial inscribed with Roman numerals, twin winding holes, fourteen-day movement striking on a bell, the case is cast with a putto reading, 40cm wide 45 cm high.

Description

The original enamel dial is perfect with no chips, cracks or crazing. It has the key and pendulum; the enamel dial is with Roman numerals. The base is Rosewood and comes with a glass dome,
Altogether, a stunning clock in exceptional condition that would give lasting pleasure for years to come. The glass dome is delicate for shipping, kindly check with the seller, especially overseas buyers.
