Antique German Porcelain Mantle Clock
This rare and exquisite porcelain mantle clock, dating back to the late 19th or early 20th centu-ry, is a testament to the craftsmanship and artistry of German porcelain makers. The clock fea-tures delicate cherubs and scrolling feet, with a beautifully painted enamel dial adorned with intricate floral patterns.
The clock comes complete with a key and bears a mark on the base in underglaze blue, attribut-ed to Richard Eckett & Co., a renowned German porcelain manufacturer. This mark is a testa-ment to the clock’s authenticity and provenance.
Please note that the clock has sustained some insignificant damage,a slight chip on the wing of one cherub and a small ribbon on the back, as depicted in the fourth photograph. Additionally, a barely noticeable chip on one finger is also present. Despite these minor imperfections, the clock remains a stunning example of antique porcelain craftsmanship.
The clock has been in storage for some time and would benefit from a service or attention to en-sure its continued functionality. Nevertheless, it remains a unique and valuable addition to any collection of antique clocks or porcelain.
