This attractive pair of Chinese porcelain vases is decorated in the famille rose palette, featuring hand-painted branches laden with peaches and blossoms, symbols traditionally associated in Chinese art with longevity, prosperity, and good fortune.

Each vase is finely painted with soft pinks, greens, and turquoise tones set against a warm peach-coloured ground. The rounded bodies rise to slender necks, with decorative borders at the rim and foot, creating a pleasingly balanced and elegant form. The painterly style and colour palette reflect the enduring popularity of classical decorative motifs in 20th-century Chinese porcelain.
