Antique Oil Painting on Canvas – Gilt Framed – Ernest Cox, British school, ‘Cattle in Wilford’
We are pleased to be able to offer for sale a stunning painting by the listed artist ERNEST COX 1909 – 1938. Cox was primarily a landscape painter and lived and worked in Nottingham. He exhibited no fewer than 56 times at the Nottingham Museum and Art gallery.
Little is known about this Modern British artist but the BBC your paintings website has a work listed by him. This fine painting depicts cattle in a meadow at Wilford in Nottingham.
It is executed in oils on board and measures 16 x 11 inches and comes framed making it 20 x 15 inches. It is in untouched condition and is ready to hang and enjoy I am sure you will agree this is a masterpiece and of museum quality. The work is signed and dates circa the 1930s.
