Description
A beautiful early 19th-century Mahogany and ebony strung tea caddy with a pair of cannisters and glass bow, on brass feet and brass ring handles on either side. It comes with a key, (the key needs a little attention from a locksmith). The lining is painted thin card so it can be used to hold small personal items. This would make a lovely gift. The caddy is beautiful, and warm in Mahogany flame colour.
Inside the caddy, the inside lid and space for the mixing bowl has a lining and there are two removable tea boxes (one for black and one for green tea) with hinged lids with one lid loose off the hinge. The ornate etched glass mixing bowl fits snugly into its compart-ment.
In excellent condition with general signs of age and use over the years and no signs of marks scratches or discolouration.
Measurements: 12 inches wide with 7.8 inches height
