A rare and highly collectable late 19th-century Victorian-era Portuguese marine barometer, finely crafted in Lisbon and marked “JJBLM -16 22 R N Desterro Lisbon Portugal.” Housed in a full, solid brass case, this 97 cm tall navigational instrument exemplifies the maritime engineer-ing and craftsmanship of the Portuguese Navy during the height of international sea trade. Fea-turing a large, graduated atmospheric dial with English weather indications, original glass, and a commanding visual presence, it is a rare survivor of naval history—ideal for collectors, mari-time enthusiasts, or period interiors.
