WWI French M1915 Adrian Pattern Engineers Steel Helmet

Material: Steel
Dimensions: 29.9 cm in length

This authentic World War I French M1915 Adrian pattern engineers’ helmet is a remarkable piece of mil-itary history. Designed to provide protection to soldiers in the trenches, the helmet features the iconic Adrian design with reinforced ridges and a distinctive badge emblem representing the engineering corps. Its solid steel construction and historical significance make it an excellent addition to any mili-taria collection.

The helmet displays some age-related wear, as illustrated, which adds character and high-lights its historical journey through time.
A true collector’s item, this helmet is perfect for enthusiasts of military artifacts or history buffs seek-ing a tangible connection to the First World War. Whether displayed as part of a collection or used as a centrepiece, it stands as a testament to the ingenuity and resilience of wartime engineering.
The helmet was credited to Intendant-General Louis Auguste Adrian.
During World War I in August 1914, French soldiers wore kepi caps, which didn’t protect them well. Trench warfare showed that soldiers needed better head protection to survive. So, the French Army de-veloped a metal helmet to shield soldiers from exploding shells.
