This stunning pair of Royal Worcester figurines, modelled by the renowned artist James Hadley, is marked “WORCESTER SHOT ENAMELS” with numbers 1827 and 1828. The figurines are believed to be titled “Music,” and the date code indicates they were made in 1911.

These figurines feature exquisite sculpting, with the drapes of the dresses rendered in a sinuous and flowing manner, capturing the movement of the music. The figures represent Greek musicians, one playing cymbals and the other a lute. The base of each figurine bears the signature of James Hadley, as shown in the photograph.
