The Three Graces, known in Greek mythology as The Three Graces, are goddesses of such things as charm, beauty, and creativity. In Roman mythology, they were known as the Gratiae.

The original marble, a life-size piece was created in the 11th Century AD and discovered in Rome on mount Caelius. The piece is based on a previous artwork produced in the Hellenistic period (330-30 BC) that can be found at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
